16th May 2023 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: sunny and warm Max Speed: Distance Covered: 4 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Tuesday 16th May - walks *** Around Felixstowe including lunch in the Spa Gardens - sunny and warm. With a couple of appointments in town this morning Mag and I decided to have a walk along Felixstowe prom to make the most of the wall to wall sunshine, warm too, definitely a shorts and T-shirt day:) At the cliff top at the end of our road just before 9.30 with the aim to get a few pics to send into the local TV weather, got some nice ones which featured a variety of bloom, managed to get one chosen as BBCX Editors Pick, it remains to be seen if it makes it onto the TV??? Also Visit Felixstowe used three on Facebook, always nice to see my photos used. After chatting to our neighbours, we ambled along the prom to the Fludyers before turning left up into the town. Then home to do my exercises in the sunny back garden before I back a picnic and we walk down to the lovely Spa Gardens to sit on a bench in the rose garden surrounded by cat mint. Then back through the town to visit an old friend for a chat with a cuppa and cake:) Photo Album here |
